Resumen
This thesis presents an analysis of Progressive Steps to Syncopation for the Modern Drummer by Ted Reed, approaching it as a versatile tool for the comprehensive development of drummers—as musicians, students, and educators. Through the compilation of videos, personal experiences, and testimonies from other musicians, the work explores a wide variety of study approaches to this book, emphasizing that many more methods may exist, often shared only in video format or with very limited written documentation. The information gathered from various sources is organized and, when necessary, explained in detail. Additionally, the results of applying this book with students of Jeferson Wilches are presented, using modern musical resources that they find engaging, such as their favorite songs or preferred musical genres.
