Resumen
In 2023 and 2024, National Postal Services 4-72 experienced a concerning increase in musculoskeletal injuries among its employees, particularly in operational areas such as package loading and unloading. These injuries, including sprains, dislocations, and fractures, resulted from biomechanical risks stemming from poor posture and improper handling techniques. In addition to the impact on employee health, these conditions generate significant costs for the company due to absenteeism and work-related disabilities. In response to this situation, the implementation of a comprehensive biomechanical risk prevention and management program is proposed. This program aims to identify, assess, and reduce accidents related to biomechanical risks associated with handling loads and improper postures through ongoing staff training, workplace improvements, and the promotion of healthy habits. Implementing this program will not only improve employee health and reduce workplace accidents, but will also help lower injury-related costs and increase company productivity. This comprehensive approach will allow National Postal Services 4-72 to strengthen its commitment to the safety and well-being of its employees, aligning with best practices in occupational health and safety management.
