Abstract

This project was proposed as an objective to evaluate the specific scope of governance and institutional strengthening present in the municipality under study, said objectives and / or concepts are governed, proposed, and are part of the national policy for the integral management of water resources , which were designed in this way for the existence of sustainability with a long-term vision with regard to water resources, under this premise we proceeded to the analysis and subsequent evaluation of each of the planning instruments present in the municipality that had to do with directly or indirectly with the integral management of the water resource, thus denoting some disarticulation between these, accompanied by the lack of participation and interest on the part of the population of the municipality of Sotaquirá in the act of making decisions related to water resources. Improvement strategies were also proposed to provide greater capacity, the scope of these management instruments and the different interinstitutional articulations, all focused on achieving a more dense scope of the concepts of institutional strengthening and governance, given that these two they have more correlation with each other in comparison to the rest of the objectives that the PNGIRH says, because if strategies focused on institutional strengthening are sought and promoted, they will be allocating actions so that the government has better tools and capabilities. needed to be able to exercise proper governance.
