Resumen
This thesis document presents a research on the three-dimensional reconstruction of cultural assets using low-cost photogrammetric techniques, taking the Rogelio Salmona Postgraduate Building of the National University of Colombia as a case study. A precise 3D model of the building, which spans approximately 9,200 m² and is divided into 18 spaces, was produced using Agisoft Metashape software and accessible mobile devices (Samsung Galaxy A35). The model encountered the typical challenges of Salmona's intricate architecture, including variable lighting conditions, translucent materials, access limitations, and unconventional masonry. The model was tested using various methods and received good validation metrics, showing that it can be used for heritage documentation, conservation, and monitoring. Beyond the building's heritage value, the experience serves as a conceptual demonstration of the production and operation of three-dimensional geospatial data, suggesting an initial approach for future applications in the organization of a 3D cadastre and digital twins of the cities in Colombia. This project demonstrates that accurate digital representations of the built environment can be produced even with limited resources, enhancing technical capabilities for heritage conservation and assisting in the creation of more accurate and sustainable territorial information systems.
