Abstract

Several of the existing medium voltage circuits in the municipality of Facatativá currently do not have the best conditions for the proper supply of electricity in the area, this due to problems related to considerable voltage drops due to the geographical extension of the circuits, in addition to the deterioration in the physical infrastructure of the same both in supports and conductors, also the fact of not having enough backup equipment such as substitutes, switching and protection equipment, with this in mind it is proposed to develop an internship whose main purposes will be: to carry out a design for the redistribution of loads through the creation of new circuits fed from a new substation, within the framework of the "RegioTram de Occidente" railroad infrastructure mega project, as well as to carry out the maintenance of main sections of the circuits to increase their reliability, with the installation of new protection, backup and maneuvering equipment; this will mitigate service interruption problems in the area, guaranteeing the quality of service and benefiting more than 160,000 of its inhabitants.
