Resumen
One of the most common causes of workplace accidents according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is that inadequate lighting hinders people's vision and ability to see hazards. (Institute of Safety and Hygiene at Work, 2008). It is clear that poor lighting can increase the possibility of people making work mistakes and accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to perform an ergonomic and safety analysis for a workplace so that the lighting level is ideal. (Institute for Safety and Hygiene at Work ERGAFP Magazine, 2008), taking into account that lighting is an important part in the ergonomic conditioning of workstations, since human beings have the ability to adapt to different ranges of lighting but at the cost of generating visual fatigue and a reduction in work performance. In Colombia there are electrical norms and regulations such as NTC 2050 and RETILAP that determine the minimum parameters of lighting systems for the construction and remodeling of different types of facilities, such as industries, hospitals, educational institutions, among others. However, the facilities, which were built before the issuance of these standards, may be outside the technical parameters established for the type of facility. For this reason, this research aims to identify if the Foundation complies with the minimum parameters of the current regulations in the lighting area; This will allow not only to know the current conditions, but also the possible disorders that can be generated in the workers.
