Resumen
The present work addresses the problem of photovoltaic power fluctuations caused by cloudiness within an IEEE24 nodes test system modified with the Colombian electrical matrix, the test system was analyzed with the PV generation concentrated and distributed in the system. Steady-state analysis was employed using optimal dynamic AC power flows modeled in GAMS and takes into account the application of secondary spinning reserve as well as conventional generation ramps. Likewise, a mitigation of the problems encountered by natural gas fired backup generation plants was proposed at the common point of connection of the PV generation, finding an increase in the level of PV penetration that the system can withstand up to 90% when mitigating the effects of load shedding and for the distributed PV generation system.
