Resumen
The following degree work aims to compare the mechanical grinding and cryogenic grinding applied to the tires out of use (NFU), using their coefficients of energy efficiency, thus posing a standard method that consists of the theoretical energy comparison of the process, both in the granulation stage and in the pulverization stage, with respect to the real energy that both processes spend. For this purpose throughout the present work, the theoretical energies are calculated from the law of grinding or Bond law. In the same way, in the mechanical process the real energy is calculated by the technical specifications of the machines used. On the other hand, in the cryogenic process it was necessary, not only the technical specifications of the machinery, but also the calculation of the energy contribution of the liquid nitrogen necessary to bring the rubber to its glass transition temperature (Tg) in which the material it behaves in a hard and fragile way to facilitate its granulation.
