Resumen
This final report reports on the activities developed within the framework of the internship carried out with the objective of strengthening the Zero Waste Management System of Prosperidad Social in the water, energy and solid waste programs in articulation with the Program Guide for Good Environmental Practices, Saving and Efficient Use of Water, Energy and Waste Management, and the Zero Waste Management System implemented in the entity. Currently, the adoption of responsible environmental practices is an indispensable aspect for any organization, especially those in the public sector. By having Zero Waste certification, Prosperidad Social promotes the efficient use of water and energy, as well as the correct separation and disposal of waste, actions that not only reduce negative environmental impacts, but also strengthen the organizational culture and institutional leadership in the face of global environmental challenges. The methodology used was mainly field work, analysis of environmental indicators and the use of digital tools for data collection. The activities were developed through awareness-raising workshops, source separation measurements, data collection, preparation of environmental reports, and training sessions for related personnel. The main method used was direct field work at the central facilities, analysis of environmental indicators and the use of digital tools such as forms and mobile applications. Progress was made in strengthening the proposed actions, evidencing improvements in the proper separation of waste and in the level of staff knowledge of institutional environmental policies.
