Resumen
ELECTRIFICADORA DEL HUILA S.A. E.S.P. ensures its mission: Transmit good energy, generate confidence and distribute welfare. With this includes and relates concepts used in the field of generation, transmission, distribution and marketing of electricity with social values, assuming the commitment to provide the service of electricity supply to the department of Huila. However, maintaining constant continuity and improving the quality of service represents a challenge for the company, since it must face daily different failure events such as atmospheric electrical discharges, adverse weather conditions, vegetation failures, presence of animals in the network, among others. This implies that the contributions to the quality index indicators increase above the established goals. This also has an economic impact, since repairing the elements of the network that suffered damage in such an eventuality represents high costs that must be assumed in most cases by the network operator. In this project a study will be carried out in which, as a first step, all the sectors belonging to the northern area of the department of Huila will be classified according to their physiographic, hydrographic, climatological and biotic characteristics. Then, an analysis of the information provided by the network operator's databases will be carried out in order to identify the main failure causes that have the highest contributions to the SAIDI and SAIFI indicators, then the main medium voltage circuits (13.2 kV) and their respective construction units critically affected by the occurrence of these failure events will be identified. Once the constructive elements of the circuits under study have been identified, the search and selection of new technologies such as sectionalizers and overvoltage drainers to mitigate the effects of these fault events is carried out. Subsequently, the location of these elements in the circuits under study is carried out and a comparison of scenarios is made in which the fault event before and after the implementation of these protection and cut-off elements is compared. Finally, the results obtained during the project will be validated and a comparison of the economic impact of the different scenarios will be made. The objective of this project is to reduce the SAIDI and SAIFI average quality indicators, reduce the costs for the network operator to replace this type of faults and improve the quality of life of the people living in the rural sector, guaranteeing the continuity of the service.
