Resumen
The deficit of own housing in Bogotá has presented an increase during the last four years, there are currently 369,874 households in deficit corresponding to 19.15%, the localities with the highest percentage deficit are: Ciudad Bolívar (34.45%) and Usme (31.78%), however, the town with the largest area is that of Usme that It has 215 km2 against 130 km2 of the town of Ciudad Bolívar, this is one of the aspects that should be given attention and solution at the local level, thus guaranteeing Population housing represents improvements in the index of people's quality of life. Although there are established homes, the homes are for rent, and the possibilities for the population to access housing is difficult, for this reason the Social Interest Housing (VIS) construction is presented as an alternative of solution to a problem that increases over time, as growth Population does not stop and housing demand grows proportionally.
