Resumen
This research aims to approach the mathematical knowledge of the Myska community. This approach is carried out from an identification of cultural activities in the community and an analysis of the mathematics they put into practice in such activities. From the work that is developed, a significant position is assumed on the mathematical knowledge of this community, within the framework of the relevance of Ethnomathematics. For the development of this proposal, I considered the Myska indigenous community and its cosmogony. That is, the entire belief system and in relation to their mathematical knowledge. That it also adheres to those lines of action for decolonization of thought and knowledge, which make it possible to value knowledge situated as key elements of the dignity of peoples and their autonomy in an increasingly interdependent world. This work is carried out with and for the community, where their knowledge —mathematics— is consolidated and constitutes part of its identity as a people with its own history and knowledge. The research presented here uses ethnographic study methodology in relation to the paradigm of critical theory, with which it is expected to find those subtleties typical of the mathematical knowledge of the Myska community.
