The main purpose of this project is to optimize the process of control and inventory of raw materials, specifically Polyurethane (PU) and Polycarbonate (PC), key materials for the manufacture of ballistic safety glass. The project was carried out at the facilities of AGP Colombia, started on November 4, 2021 and ended on May 3, 2021. In order to improve the process, three aspects must be worked on, the first is to achieve the daily inventory control of raw material in the shortest possible time, the second is to have a quick and reliable consultation of the list of materials of new orders, this in order to know the real need, and the third is to create a control chart to analyze the novelties presented in the inventory of modular material that is located in the production Racks. At the end, it is evident that if there is not an efficient process of control and management of raw material, it is not possible to perform an accurate production planning, and it becomes critical the correct flow of the modulated materials in the production rack.
