Resumen
Dear reader, this document contains the result of a debt I owed to life and to myself. "The Gray Hour: A Panoramic View of the Act of Plastic Creation in Seven Local Artists" establishes a study of the creative actions of this group of visual artists (including myself) who reconstruct and interpret reality with images (paintings, engravings, objects, drawings). This study is primarily based on two factors: their ways of doing things and the feelings that intervene in the construction of their images. In this way, it attempts to argue and understand the details of this creative activity, and equally, it attempts to establish the points of convergence and difference between them, which are viewed and compiled from a narrative of daily events, as another way of constructing our collective memory, which connects the internal and creative feeling of these artists with the external socio-cultural practices in which they operate. This study also proposes a creative result in the form of an "art book," which includes in its plastic and aesthetic configuration some sections of the written document (narrations, data, concepts, definitions, and more), linking them with fragments of images created by the artists themselves in correspondence with personal graphic interventions, to make this piece a plastic and collaborative version of the research. Likewise, this report includes an Appendix with a series of stories developed during the Master's program and during the research itself. Stories that allowed us to ratify the type of writing to be used and strengthened the resource of life stories as a fundamental element in the research.
