Resumen
The use of aquatic macroinvertebrates with the physicochemical parameters to assess water quality in water sources is widely used in the world, however, in Colombia has been implemented significantly. This reason motivated the realization of this study, in order to assess the quality of the Subachoque river located in the north east of the department of Cundinamarca, analyzing the different physic-chemical variables and their relationship with the biological variables such as wealth, abundance, tolerance that represent specific and temporal behaviors over time. In total, eight samples were taken at the study site so that they could get a wealth of macroinvertebrates, these samples generated 2411 collection organisms distributed in 22 families and 24 genders, presenting point three with 1711 as many organisms. The results of the BMWP and ASTP indices show that water slightly, moderately and highly contaminated occur and in turn biodiversity indices show high values of wealth, abundance and dominance according to each point.
