Resumen
This document shows the design and implementation processes of a mechanism based on computer numerical control and robot manipulator theory for the automation of a key duplicating machine, which can copy and generate random patterns for the change of guards automatically. To achieve this, it is necessary to document the techniques used in locksmithing for the copy and manufacture of keys, as well as the different key duplicating machines that we find in the market, from the most basic to the most advanced models, to take as a starting point a topology that allows us to achieve control of the cutting movements that can make the mechanism.
After that, we will analyze the different electromechanical components that would allow us to achieve the automation based on the design previously proposed. This is done to manufacture a machine that presents the necessary reliability to fulfill its tasks, apart from being able to provide the best guarantee and subsequent maintenance to each of its parts. Once the assembly and calibration of all the machine parts is done, the algorithms that will control the functions of the cutter will be created, based on the criteria provided by the theory of manipulator robots, more specifically, the kinematic analysis. Finally, a set of tests will be performed on the machine to verify its correct operation and thus corroborate its usefulness in the locksmith world.
