Resumen
Anti-personnel mines (MAP) are by definition explosive devices designed to explode with the presence, proximity or contact of a person, and in case of explosion has the potential to incapacitate, injure and / or kill one or more people (Vice Presidency of the Republic, 2012), the wounds of the anti-personnel mines are especially serious: the purpose of these weapons is to kill or, more often than not, to disable the victims for life, since they are specially made to destroy members and lives without possibility of reparation (Ministry of National Defense, 2004). The problem with mines is their period of activity. Their action is not limited like other weapons, to the duration of the conflict, but, if not removed, their effects can last for years affecting the population (causing civilian and military casualties) and the development of the activities of the areas where they were (infrastructure blockade, water sources, crop lands, etc.) (DNP, 2003).
