Análisis-interpretación de dos canciones de jazz y funk en batería de los géneros musicales de guacherna, tambora y chandé

Abstract

This work addresses the systematization of three musical genres of the Atlantic coast which are the guacherna, the tambora and the chandé. It also addresses the adaptation of the rhythms performed by the instruments of the traditional format in the drums and makes a musical arrangement in each of the selected pieces in funk and jazz style adapting the rhythms, melody , form, harmony and interpretation with the incorporation of the musical genres of the tambora, guacherna and chandé. To achieve this purpose, transcriptions of two traditional chandé, guacherna and tambora songs were made; a musical analysis of the selected original pieces in funk and jazz style was performed, and the process of timbral interventions from the drums to the jazz sextet format is described.
