Resumen
The Central Region is made up of the departments of Cundinamarca, Boyacá, Tolima and Meta and the city of Bogotá DC, its mission is "to build a region by promoting the articulation of Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Meta, Tolima and Bogotá DC, to guarantee the sustainability and development of the territory ”, for which it is unacceptable that their government entities do not have integrated and explicit information on energy issues, which allow them to provide solutions to rural populations that do not have service and to carry out energy development plans. The objective of this document is to collect and unify information on the energy potential of Small Hydroelectric Power Plants for the Central Region, for which an in-depth search of documents was carried out to obtain knowledge regarding the PCH’s. After carrying out the bibliographic review, we proceeded with the study of each department of the Central Region and the city of Bogotá, to eliminate the information overload and extract the relevant information.
