Apoyo en la evaluación del cumplimiento normativo en residuos peligrosos de las tintorerías del barrio León XIII - Soacha

Abstract

The Cundinamarca Regional Autonomous Corporation (CAR), as the entity in charge of managing the renewable natural resources and the environment in the area of its jurisdiction, seeks the sustainable management of hazardous waste generated in industrial sectors such as dyeing, where volumes of waste are generated whose toxic load needs to be minimized or disposed of correctly to avoid its negative impact. For this reason, and in fulfillment of its functions, the CAR - Regional Direction Soacha (DRSOA), technical visits were made to several dry-cleaning businesses located in the León Xlll neighbourhood of the municipality of Soacha, in order to assess compliance with current regulations on hazardous wastes; resulting in a negative concept of non-compliance in most of the cases evaluated.
