Resumen
The purpose of this research is to comparatively examine the spatial distribution of crime in Bogotá during 2023 and 2024, through the creation of an interactive geovisor. The study focuses on detecting crime patterns, critical areas, and variations in insecurity linked to the administrations of Mayors Claudia López and Carlos Fernando Galán. To achieve this, statistical and geospatial data provided by official sources such as the Bogotá Open Data Portal and the National Police's SIEDCO system were used. The approach used was quantitative and descriptive, utilizing spatial analysis and interactive visualization methods. The results showed significant fluctuations in the prevalence of crimes such as theft from individuals, homes, and businesses, as well as homicides and sexual offenses. Areas with a higher incidence of crime were identified, and variations in spatial patterns were noted during both years. The main conclusion highlights the importance of the geovisor as a tool for data-informed decision-making, maximizing security resources, and achieving clarity in public administration. This project contributes to strengthening public security policies and promoting a data culture in Bogotá.
