🇺🇸 Jorge Torres and the Strengthening of the Distrital University The Bogotá Councilman, Jorge Torres, is interviewed as part of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Distrital University Francisco José de Caldas. Key Points of the Interview: Commitment to Public Education: The Councilman reiterates his main commitment to promoting and guaranteeing greater resources for public higher education in Bogotá, considering that this is where the main social debt lies. University Achievements: He highlights the institution's progress, which has gone from shining due to corruption scandals to shining for academic excellence, thanks to the community's commitment. He mentions the high-quality accreditation and the successful obtaining of the "pro university" stamp (a special tax/levy for funding the university).
