Identificación de modelos estadísticos para la regionalización de los caudales máximos de la Cuenca Magdalena - Cauca

Abstract

This regionalization consist in a series of statistical models that in a simple way, allow to estimate peak flows in accordance with the design return period and the afferent area to the area in question; in all those regions that are contemplated within the study area and where the information is insufficient or the measurement does'nt be possible. Thus, regionalization will then allow the estimation of maximum flow rates for different return periods. In the development of this project a methodology for regionalization of peak flows of the Magdalena-Cauca basin and its main tributaries basins will be transmitted, from the information provided by the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM) by selecting historical records of hydrometric stations located geographically within the basin.
