Resumen
Urban farmers face difficulties in managing pests that attack their gardens, either due to lack of knowledge or money to access industrial pesticides that kill them, these products ultimately lower the quality of their products. In the present work, a study was carried out with the main pests belonging to the group of arthropods present in urban agriculture crops, (the research was done on the Agroecological Garden of the Botanical Garden of Bogotá, JBBJCM its abbreviation in Spanish). The project was carried out with the accompaniment of the personnel of this institution. The study is of great importance due to the contribution it will have for farmers of this type, especially for those who are linked in some way to the JBBJCM. Although there is knowledge of certain organisms that attack crops, so far there is no concrete document for urban agricultural gardens in Bogotá. During the study, the organisms considered plagues present in the Agroecological Garden were collected, later they were taxonomically identified and their habits and trophic roles were established. Finally, a scientific dissemination instrument was designed in which the main characteristics of the organisms found were compiled for easy identification of them, even for those people who are little familiar with scientific concepts.
