Abstract

This project is based on the approach of a geometric design proposal for a tertiary road that allows the interconnection between the village and the road that connects the main road with Bogotá. This proposal is set around the development of horizontal, vertical and cross-sectional designs. The proposed design is the footprint way, taking into account the importance that development of the roads as a fundamental axis for the development of neighboring agricultural and tourist activities at the study site. This proposal is elaborated to the extent that the lack of connection between the productive units of the country and the centers populated by the bad state of the road infrastructure becomes latent, which prevents a country with an agronomic activity and privilege such as Colombia, exploit all its productive capacity for economic and social growth so necessary for the current living conditions in the country. In addition to the problems of the surrounding road infrastructure. These problems correspond to mass movements on the road that connects the center of the Gran Via with the farmhouse of Esperanza and the municipality of Cachipay. It should be noted that the problem in the country's road infrastructure is so wide that these roads correspond to 69.4% of the total road network nationwide and according to reports only 25% of the tertiary roads are in good condition. Of that 25%, 6% are paved, 70% are affirmed and the remaining 24% are dusty and insecure horseshoe roads. For that reason, the complex situation regarding road infrastructure, the current project is proposed. This project intends to carry out a Geometric Design based on a Topographic Survey of the current area on the corridor to be intervened with approximately 1000 longitudinal meters, where this design proposal allows the circulation of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in a safe, comfortable and efficient way for the habitants of the area.
