Evaluación de servicios ecosistémicos y su incidencia en el valor del suelo en la cuenca del río coello, Tolima

Abstract

The Coello river basin is a key ecosystem for water management in the department of Tolima, since it offers an important number of ecosystem services that contribute to the human wellbeing of the inhabitants of the area. This monograph is an approach to the contribution of ecosystem services to the land value in the Coello river basin, i.e., how much influence they could have if the land price contemplated the economic and ecological values of ecosystem services. For this purpose, different methodologies were applied focused on: modeling, analysis and ecological and economic evaluation of ecosystem services, detection of multifunctionality zones, determination of synergies and trade-offs, and finally, comparison with the land value of the basin.
