Resumen
This research sought to form a state of the art of journalistic publications that occurred in the two largest circulation print media in Colombia, for two cases of acid attacks as emblematic located in the country. The first case of Gina Potes - first woman burned with acid in the territory- and the second, spokeswoman Natalia Ponce- first woman to the Colombian Congress and international organizations to the subject. To approach the interpretation of publications, without seeking to perform essentialist or absolute statements against the practice of etching, this study suggested a connection between those attacks and valuations of social good "beauty" from the reference that archetype be beautiful in Colombia has come to be shared socially as a concept that allows each person is evaluated from the physical to the actitudinal with "discrimination right or wrong, the best or the worst, as high or lowest "Taylor (1989). Thus, beauty and strong moral value in Colombia, could connect positions of power, consumption and gender from an explanatory matrix in which the construction of a bleached subject multiplies in bodies that have decided at all costs fit into that model, so all those bodies result in a mold that may erase the uniqueness of each person. Based on the recurrence of epithets of both victims in the Colombian referential spectrum, the profile has been constructed every woman from the journalistic narrative, based on the fact that both share inescapable reference frames that were placing them in spectra opposites of one contrasted phenomenon: one is the first woman burned with acid without recognition and the other the phoenix of the situation as a national and international spokeswoman topic. Among the findings, it is envisioned that the main differential enunciation of profiles of women in the newspapers in question, orbited in a different way, in which the beauty and destruction from a patriarchal horizon, gave greater media and social positioning the woman who managed to recover part of the model praised as superior beauty well on the victim who failed a description of what was worthy of respect, and she who had impelled the first Law of the issue was. In turn, exercise methodological contributions from Taylor, allowed to establish an approach to the reasons of legal and social success of the case Ponce on Potes. As part of the context and frames of reference in which the adjectives that the media gave to the two case studies were analyzed, it is necessary to mention that since 2009 in Colombia, more than 85 people on average are attacked each year with agents chemical (commonly known as acids are corrosive chemicals for industrial use for paints, solvents, mixtures and should in no way come into contact with human skin, thus causing immediately destroys physical deformations).
