Resumen
Scientific illustration stands out as an effective tool, providing accurate and detailed visual representations of biological complexity. It enriches the visual experience and facilitates a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. The present work aims to promote knowledge and awareness of the endemic poison frog species of the Colombian biogeographic Chocó. Therefore, a captivating illustrated guide was developed. This guide, based on a methodology that combines organized visual messages and the categorization of articles, presents a compendium that immerses the reader in the fascinating universe of poisonous frogs. The results reveal a work that not only explores the uniqueness of poison dart frogs, but also highlights the extraordinary diversity of the megadiverse biogeographic Chocó region. Visual representation through scientific illustrations emerges as an invaluable tool to highlight the diversity and uniqueness of these species in the context of a region as biodiverse as the Colombian biogeographic Chocó.
