Cartilla para el manejo integral de residuos solidos generados en las viviendas de zonas rurales

Abstract

In order to inform the inhabitants of rural areas about the good comprehensive management of solid waste, the following booklet is built through which, in a didactic way and through basic concepts, it is expected to provide the population living in rural areas with either children or adults an environmental education based on good practices for the management of solid waste that they generate in their homes, as well as a wide compilation of both primary and secondary information. To achieve improvements in solid waste management, in Latin America and the Caribbean, continuous education of citizens is required on the issue of waste use (Sáez, et al. 2014). The primer is built based on the bibliographic review about the characteristics and management that should be given to solid waste, the characterization of the population that lives in rural areas and the current management that is given to waste in these areas . The booklet will be made with the objective of implementing it in rural areas and in order that it can be understood and people can carry out the methods that are proposed for the management of the waste they generate.
