Resumen
This research presents a review and understanding of auroral phenomenon from an interdisciplinary perspective that integrates physical, chemical and astronomical factors involved in the processes occurring during the stages of generation, transmission and acceleration of particles from the sun in the magnetosphere and ionosphere, as well as the mechanisms of ionization-recombination, excitation and vibrational or rotational movements of the species that characterize the auroral spectrum primarily within the visible region. It was concluded that the physics and chemistry of the auroras of protons and electrons, and their emissions in the visible region are very different, because they do not interact in the same way within the atmosphere, as there are cross sections differentiated both electrons to protons, therefore all investigations necessary in order to separate the contributions of the proton and electron excitation in the auroral spectrum.
