Resumen
The project presented here is called "study of intertextuality relations with development on literary skills" has been made through qualitative descriptive research approach, and with didactic unit as a tool of intervention in the classroom. The element address are the students of the 5th and 7th grades, cycle III, on the schools Carlos Alban Holguin and San José IED. As a tool of analysis the didactic unit was implemented, in which the hero theme was addressed through the selection of certain categories of qualitative analysis proposed from the approaches and theories of authors like Joseph Campbell and curriculum guidelines document was implemented to the Castilian Ministry of National Education. Among the results, it was found that most of the cycle III students were currently, reaching levels of literal reading and in a minor grade, inferential reading levels. In addition, small groups of students from the last grade of the cycle III have reached some level of intertextual and critical reading. It was found, also on a generally way that the theme of the hero as a reader exercise called the attention of the students, as well the intertextual strategy is an opportunity to strengthen reading and literary competence for students.
