Abstract

In this internship work, a study is conducted on socioeconomic stratification as a factor to correctly identify the socioeconomic sectors based on atypical housing in the urban area of the municipality of Soacha (Cundinamarca). Initially, the urban area of the municipality of Soacha is spatially limited, taking only the communes (2) and (6), the time taken is since the municipality adopted the stratification by means of Decree No. 154 of 1998, where it is explained how the methodology of socioeconomic stratification has been mainly in the realization stage. The procedures described in the stratification manuals of the new methodology were followed to arrive at reliable results, and from there, these results were analyzed in order to identify strengths and weaknesses within the methodology and the municipality in relation to the identification of atypical dwellings.
