Geopaz: visor web geográfico para contribuir a la construcción de la memoria histórica del conflicto armado en Colombia

Abstract

One of the most important social problems that must be resolved in Colombia is the social reconciliation and peace building, a process in which historical memory is the basis for reconstruct the past through historical events and thus understand the role they have played during years the different actors. Only after an entire society has understood the depth of the damage and impacts caused by such a long and degraded conflict, is that society going to be able to give space, with conscience, to peacebuilding processes, and this is achieved through education and awareness-raising on conflict issues in favor of the construction of historical memory. For this reason, the implementation of a geovisor is proposed that allows access to said information in a centralized, fast, dynamic, clear and concise. For this, the information available from the aforementioned entities will be taken for prior debugging, analysis and subsequent provision in the geovisor "GeoPaz", in which you can view the information at the municipal level, make attributive and geographical queries, analysis and download of the geographical layers, this in order to facilitate the understanding of the armed conflict and the construction of collective memory, so that it becomes a space for social reflection to through the possibility of quick and efficient access to information.
