Resumen
This internship report presents the work conducted under the “Tutoring Program for Learning and Integral Formation (PTAFI 3.0),” developed by the Ministry of National Education (MEN) and the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) at the Ciudad Latina Educational Institution in Soacha, Colombia. The program aims to reduce learning disparities in reading comprehension and arithmetic skills exacerbated by the pandemic through volunteer-based tutoring. The report details the training process for volunteers, focusing on integral education and CRESE education (Citizen Education for Reconciliation, Anti-Racism, Socio-Emotional Learning, and Climate Change). It outlines the implementation of academic support activities in first, second, and sixth grades, emphasizing mathematics reinforcement and literacy skills. The internship also included the facilitation of a mathematics recreation center, promoting hands-on learning through patterns and multiplication. Results highlight significant improvements in students' mathematical comprehension and problem-solving abilities. Challenges such as classroom overcrowding and socioeconomic conditions were addressed through adaptive teaching strategies. The experience underscored the importance of contextualized and student-centered education in overcoming learning barriers.
