Resumen
This research focuses on demonstrating the versatility of the llanera harp, combining the traditional format of the joropo (harp, cuatro, maracas and bass) with instruments from the academic tradition such as the clarinet in bb and bass clarinet, in the works: Itinerante, Señora Julia and colors. The llanera harp has been considered as a folk instrument typical of the Colombian-Venezuelan plains, being the major instrument of llanera music.
What is sought is to broaden the melodic and harmonic spectrum of the llanera harp, creating new formats in the interpretation of the aforementioned works, in order to contribute to people interested in interpreting the llanera harp, based on the knowledge and experiences of the researcher in the creation of harmonies, the fusion of genres, the combination of instruments and other works in which he has participated until today. It is proposed to listen to new styles without leaving aside the tradition of what is ours, and that, as has been done along the way, it is preserved in time and given the importance that the llanero folklore deserves and, more broadly, the folklore Colombian, that the evolution and innovation that it has had is known, since this is what we want to highlight when making music.
