Resumen
This paper describes the process for the hardware implementation of a model for generating random numbers based on a memristor whose generated data present long-range dependence (LRD) and fractal behavior. First, multiple memristor emulator proposals found in the literature are studied to propose a memristor emulator circuit. Then, implementing a chaotic circuit based on a memristor and identifying the limitations of the hardware. Finally, the voltage signals from the chaotic circuit are used as a source of entropy in a model to generate random numbers. From the generated data, tests for detecting the LRD and fractal behavior resulted in sequences with a variable Hurst parameter and a monofractal and multifractal behavior when varying the model parameters for generating random numbers.
