Resumen
Little is known about the impact and effectiveness of the countless environmental education activities, projects and initiatives carried out from different fronts (the school, social organizations, the government sector) (Páramo, 2009). 2013, an investigation is carried out in order to demonstrate the evaluation processes in Environmental Education in Latin America, the result of which is that for Colombia there is no progress in this matter in publications made in databases, from the results the need arises to identify progress in the evaluation of environmental education in Colombia in the 2013-2020 period, through the compilation of documents in databases, and through the categorization of units of analysis obtained from the documents, prepare a state of the matter in the evaluation of environmental education in Colombia through a qualitative approach with a phenomenological methodological design and prop posed by Esquivel, concluding: as Gamboa and Chacón (2017) point out after Brazil, Colombia is one of the countries with the highest number of scientific articles directed towards environmental education in the region, however, there is very little documentation found that refers to the evaluation of Environmental Education. And by analyzing the categorization it is found that; of the documents reviewed, the types of evaluation applied correspond mostly to the positivist category, followed by interpretive, and finally two publications with a socio-critical category and only a proposal for an evaluation model using indicators of Environmental Education, and that of the strategies of environmental education most evaluated correspond to formal ones such as PRAE. In addition, it is highlighted that the same complex nature of Environmental Education, evaluating it implies greater complexity, however, they are processes that must be investigated given the importance of environmental education in local and global contexts. Keywords: Evaluation of environmental education in Colombia, categories, positivist, interpretive, socio-critical.
