Abstract

The project “SUPPORT IN THE FOLLOW-UP AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ADAPTATION MEASURES TO VARIABILITY AND CLIMATE CHANGE IN THE CAR JURISDICTION CAR, CUNDINAMARCA ”addresses one of the issues that is taking on greater importance today, seeks to explain what climate change generally consists of, in addition to highlighting some policies that the national government has developed, motivating research and actions to contribute, so that the impacts generated by this natural phenomenon are not so devastating; This work also explains how the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca in its jurisdiction promotes in communities, municipal authorities and NGOs through the implementation of adaptation and mitigation measures the task of generating knowledge about the possible consequences of this phenomenon and how It can affect not only the conditions of the territories, but also directly the customs and economic activities, this task is carried out during field trips in which professionals from the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca reach the territories of the communities, attend their needs and address these comprehensively, It also explains in detail what are the measures of adaptation to climate change and how they are implemented in the territories, showing the direct and general benefits that each of these generates. Finally, the results of the implementation of a geographic database are shown, which allows identifying each of the adaptation and mitigation measures generated by the CAR climate change group from 2014 to 2019, and as a result of This implementation of GDB, some maps are presented that allow the visualization of these measures of adaptation to climate change in the territory in a more explicit way.
