Estudios preliminares interferométricos en el departamento de la Guajira para actualización cartográfica

Abstract

The cartographic plates that cover the territory belonging to the department of La Guajira are outdated, those that are used and are for consultation of the users in the central part of the department correspond to the year 1962 for the plates that cover the municipalities of Maicao and Riohacha to scale 1: 100000, therefore, it is necessary to propose and use modern technologies that allow to renew or generate maps of the area; one of the alternatives is Interferometry from interferometric pairs of Radar. For this reason, this project proposes a methodology for the adequate generation of data, as well as the interpretation and analysis thereof, through the use and comparison of radar images obtained from the data given by the Satellite SENTINEL 1 , taken with a certain time interval, to create digital elevation models of an area of La Guajira, which seeks to generate a preliminary study that is used as a basis for subsequent interferometric analysis, since these will be the basis for updating the cartography of the municipality of Riohacha.
