Resumen
The present work details the internship carried out at the San Francisco Ecological Educational Institution, primary school, in Cómbita, Boyacá, as part of the “Viva la Escuela” program. This program, promoted by the Ministry of Education and the Organization of Ibero-American States, seeks to reduce learning lags in reading comprehension and mathematics through Successful Educational Actions (AEE). During the second cohort of the program, some ESAs were implemented, such as Tertulias Dialógicas Literarias, Grupos Interactivos and pedagogical reinforcement in mathematics. In addition, community and school improvement activities were carried out. The report highlights the importance of volunteering in teacher training, the achievements and pending challenges in rural schools. It includes photographic records and testimonies from the educational community about their experience with volunteering.
