Resumen
In today's technological landscape, implementing 5G mobile communication networks is crucial for global connectivity. This document focuses on the design and planning of 5G mobile systems, providing a comprehensive guide for telecom professionals to introduce them to this new era of communication technology. It covers the detailed use of HTZ, a specialized software for designing and simulating wireless communication networks. This development is complemented by the integration of fiber optics as the transmission medium, whose existing infrastructure is essential for delivering high-speed and low-latency connectivity, supporting the high data transfer rates required by 5G specifications. To properly address this project, a solid foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge of both mobile networks and the transmission medium is established. The document clearly and simply examines the characteristics of the necessary equipment for potential implementation, identifies the essential technical specifications for their connection, and analyzes the fiber optic resources needed for the effective deployment of 5G base stations. It then explains the functionalities of HTZ Communications in planning and designing base stations, exploring its options, capabilities, and other tools to ensure proper planning and optimal quality in the designed mobile communication systems. Finally, a series of simulations are conducted with different configurations for the base stations, implementing practical cases in Bogotá and other cities in Colombia. Each result is observed, noting the differences between each configuration and comparing them with the theoretical aspects discussed.
