Resumen
The digital transformation associated with Industry 4.0 has increased the dependence on infrastructures capable of ensuring continuous data processing with high levels of availability, reliability, and energy efficiency, positioning data centers as critical infrastructure. In this context, this project presents the comprehensive design of a self-contained data center classified as Rated II in accordance with the TIA-942B standard, with a primary focus on electrical architecture, electrical power supply continuity through automatic transfer systems, and the integration of intelligent monitoring. The methodology involved a regulatory analysis of the TIA-942B standard and its alignment with applicable technical regulations, followed by the design of electrical, cooling, physical security, special systems, and monitoring subsystems within a self-contained modular structure. N+1 redundancy schemes, uninterruptible power supply systems, generator integration, and automatic transfer switches (ATS) were defined to ensure operational continuity during electrical supply disturbances. The results demonstrate that the proposed design meets the availability and reliability requirements for a Rated II data center, providing a technically sound, scalable, and applicable solution aligned with current industrial and critical infrastructure demands.
