Resumen
This research analyzes the intersection of women's roles as writers in Colombian literature and their identity formation, specifically examining potential exclusions within the literary landscape during the 1980s. The analysis centers on the works of Marvel Moreno, "En diciembre llegaban las brisas", Carmen Cecilia Suárez, "Un vestido rojo para bailar boleros", and María Mercedes Carranza's poetry collection "Tengo miedo". This work draws upon theoretical frameworks proposed by Bourdieu about the theory of fields, as well as perspectives from Scott, Butler, Hegel, and MacKinnon on gender issues, and insights from Lagarde and Beauvoir concerning identity. Additionally, it incorporates discussions from Woolf, Quintana, Medel, and Jaramillo, among others. The methodological approach is based on qualitative research. It adopts a structural framework that facilitated: a) Identification of sociocultural elements characterizing the three authors' writing process, focusing on the feminine through their life situations and specific living conditions. It shows that, as women, they redefine writing as a crucial element of identity definition. b) Contrast the relationships between their roles as women writers and their identities, acknowledging their resistance against the prevailing phallocentric logic and binary oppositions. c) Diagnosis of how their contributions impacted the literary landscape of the 1980s, recognizing how they articulate themselves and the inherent complexity within the literary field. In essence, this study aligns with the principles outlined by Woolf (2021), paying tribute to the memory of women writers—both those who wrote and those who aspired to write but were constrained by circumstances.
