Resumen
The objective of this research is to understand the imaginary significations of death that a group of boys and girls aged 6 to 9 years build in the town of Cuidad Bolivar, and then through his stories design and edit an aesthetic and literary product such as the picture book. Assuming imaginary significations as a network of representations, affections / feelings, desires and actions in constant movement where the subjects and their realities are created and transformed, inquiring into a radical imaginary such as death implied the use of a methodological approach to phenomenological interpretation and techniques such as the narrative and iconographic workshop and story. The information obtained was systematized in grids that allowed to recognize the elements of the significations that children have about death, while the instituted and instituting significations were identified, managing to conclude that the instituted significations that children build have a strong religious and biological charge, while the instituting are oriented to see death as a stage but not the end of existence. Finally, we designed, illustrated and edited the picture book ¿and if we talk about death? Taking as central elements the stories, narratives and iconographies obtained throughout the investigative process.
