Resumen
Educational Institutions (EI) in their role as agents of change, structuring of the social environment and interaction with the environment, academic development and environmental management, for which to know the process of implementation of strategies from sustainability is essential. Within the approach of the problem is the absence of follow-up from the sustainable practices in the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas as an institution of higher education has a fundamental role that generates an impact on the problems of its close environment, the purpose of this research was propose a tool or instrument to develop to evaluate sustainable environmental management at UD Sede Vivero. As part of the solution to this type of needs, in this degree project it proposes a tool that has parameters and requirements necessary to evaluate from sustainability all the activities and initiatives carried out at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Sede Vivero as a plan pilot to start the implementation and follow-up, projecting this exercise later in all the university headquarters. The proposed methodology is Phase 1: Systematization and collection of information on strategies for sustainable environmental management in higher education institutions; Phase 2: Selection of Sustainable Environmental Management indicators and Phase 3: Propose and validate a tool to evaluate the SGA de la U Distrital. The contribution of this research is based on compiling, documenting and carrying out the evaluation and monitoring in a specific way to the PIGA de la Sede del Vivero, guaranteeing the implementation from the sustainability point of view.
