Resumen
In the context of the Master of Science in Information and Communications, effective administration has become a crucial element for the quality and sustainability of the program. The increasing complexity in information and communication management demands not only an adaptation to new technologies and methods, but also a thorough review of the administrative processes that support the operation of the program. The present research addresses this need by focusing on the restructuring and standardization of administrative processes, with the purpose of improving operational efficiency and ensuring more transparent and effective management. Academic administration in the field of information and communications faces unique challenges, given the accelerated pace of technological advances and the increasing demand for efficient management. The lack of standardized procedures can lead to significant inefficiencies, including operational redundancies, delays in decision-making, and suboptimal utilization of resources. The standardization of administrative processes is presented as a key solution to address these problems, providing a coherent structure that facilitates coordination, reduces errors, and improves the ability to respond to challenges. Furthermore, a systematic approach to administrative management not only optimizes the program's operations, but also positively impacts the students' educational experience. A well-managed administrative environment allows for more effective implementation of academic content and greater agility in problem-solving, ultimately contributing to students' academic and professional success (Williams & Lee, 2022). Implementing clear and uniform processes allows students to focus on their studies and professional development, alleviating administrative strains and improving the overall quality of the program. This research aims primarily to identify and analyze the existing administrative processes in the Master of Information and Communications Sciences, in order to develop and implement a procedural framework that not only improves internal efficiency, but also promotes greater transparency in management. It is anticipated that these efforts will not only optimize the operation of the program, but will also establish a standard of good practices that can serve as a model for other academic institutions (Brown & Davis, 2023).
