Resumen
This work is related to exercise of writing in cycle one, which seeks, through the investigative work, to investigate and identify possible issues associated with this area within the classroom. That is why this research focused on favoring the writing of first cycle students through the elaboration of chronicles from the understanding of this process and its function in different contexts. For this, a series of workshops were designed to be worked synchronously and asynchronously given the situation of remote education due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In this order of ideas, the research was located in the interpretive paradigm, with a mixed qualitative approach and action research design. As a result of the research, it is evidenced that students are capable of doing this type of text, improve their own textual production and strengthen their written expression. In addition, it is important to recognize that the school presents challenges, on the one hand, for teachers to the extent that it requires updating their pedagogical practices and, on the other, for students in the sense that they need to acquire and develop communication skills that make them venture into the world of their own productions. In conclusion, the writing of chronicles has a potential that goes beyond the text, the letters or the spelling rules (linguistic approach), which expands towards the possibilities that its author is looking to assign (psycholinguistic and sociocultural).
