Higher education is a process that requires social commitments; While academic life offers guarantees to the life project of each individual who decides to be a professional, it is a fact that to be a successful person, each woman and each man takes on the responsibility to contribute to the development of his country from its work. Reason by think about the professional results that the different careers generate, is a fact that deserves great importance, even more when the referred High education training has relationship with the education itself; in other words, an University and a training project that educates teachers must ensure that their graduates possess the necessary and sufficient qualities to contribute to the formation of the new generations. However, when the time passing by and the arrival of new technologies, education has to be willing to permanent changes, where we find the need to assess in all of the aspects and at all times to the careers and thus, to generate useful changes in a successful way. To do this, there are some entities that regulate and rate the quality of training offered by the universities. This, the project's degree in basic education with emphasis in mathematics (LEBEM) of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, is a training programme which, since 2009, have made some changes and adjustments to its curriculum and its regulations or legal regulation, where it is clear that up to the year 2014 (5 years later) when the first students of this new LEBEM training program graduate , which, have certain characteristics and differences with regard to the graduates of the old curriculum. Therefore, this document aims to show an analysis and comparison on the objectives and professional accomplishments that fosters training in both curricula (hours and credits) of the mentioned academic training programme; In addition, the study involves the experience of some graduates of the two curricula appointed, allowing us to analyze perceptions they have about themselves therefore, also making a contribution to the accreditation process that currently crosses the University and specifically the training project.
