Resumen
In this research we observe the various positions that emerged during the experience to convene a working party of graduates and students cycle V from school Gustavo Restrepo IED whose purpose was to create a curriculum in Audiovisual Media for the Technical Media today Media Fortalecida of the institution. In the genesis of the project were taken into account researches conducted on youth and curriculum and two experiences on youth empowerment from United States and Chile. As background to the theoretical framework that takes into account concepts such as power, empowerment, self-empowerment, youth and participation, curriculum, communication and education. As part of the findings, I tried to make a characterization on the postures and positioning of young project participants using the data collected in field notes and transcripts of recordings made in the working sessions. Experience records were part of the case study methodology. As an element of discussion it raises in the confrontation that arises from the critique of the student body toward the educational institution is clear evidence of distance between the nominal student participation in the management bodies and the true extent of such participation .
