Resumen
The development of the internship took place at the company 4D CONSTRUCTORES SAS, a firm that is currently seeking to improve its knowledge management processes. For this reason, the proposed practical work addressed the development of a methodology that allows the company to implement a consolidated knowledge management policy. The execution of the internship was divided into three (03) stages, the first of which consisted of conducting a diagnosis in which the existence of knowledge management policies was evaluated through a survey and a document review of the company's files. Following that, a knowledge management maturity model was applied, which resulted in the company being at the "aware" level (level 2 of the maturity model). Based on this, the need to advance in the maturity model to the following levels (level 3 and level 4), which correspond to 'defined' and 'managed' respectively, is identified, serving as the starting point for defining the scope of the methodology being developed. In the second stage, a cross-cutting methodology is structured that consists of five (05) phases:
- Formalization of the Knowledge Management strategy.
- Structuring of knowledge capture and transfer processes.
- Development of an organizational culture based on knowledge.
- Optimization of technological tools.
- Consolidation towards the long term.
In each of the phases, the objectives and the tools to be used are developed, clearly defining the steps to follow to meet the purpose of the phase. Specific tools were designed such as stakeholder maps, lessons learned, and good practice sheets, among others. The work teams required by phase and by functional area were defined. The methodological development is integrated with classical models of knowledge management, and it seeks for the departments that make up the company to enrich the knowledge management process from specific areas, obtaining a methodology applied to the current needs of the organization. In the third phase, the implementation plan is proposed, with a duration estimated at 33 months of execution and an approximate cost of $577,162,000.00, which corresponds to the investment required to increase the level of maturity in knowledge management.
